HISTORY
In 1869 Edward Samuel Poyser set up a retail business in Nottingham and this Diamond House website is the direct descendant of that business.
In 1903 the business set up by Edward Samuel Poyser was incorporated as E.S. Poyser & Sons, Limited. It passed in turn to Edward Stanley Poyser, then Eric Stanley Poyser and lastly to Edward Stephen Poyser in turn. In 2005 E.S. Poyser & Sons, Limited, by then a fourth generation family business, trading as a jeweller in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre, was sold. However its subsidiary company, Diamond House Limited, set up in 1960 by Eric Stanley Poyser, was retained by the family. Hence there is a continuous link between Diamond House Limited and the original business set up by Edward Samuel Poyser in 1869.

WHAT WE DO
We set up this website originally to sell Hearts and Arrows Diamonds. This has developed into selling all loose Diamonds and also into undertaking Special Commissions – using the very many excellent contacts we have built up over our extensive experience we gained in the jewellery business.
The benefits of trading from a website include there being virtually no overheads from working from home. No stock is held on the premises – everything is dealt with using our suppliers’ facilities. This can be directly reflected in our prices.
HEARTS AND ARROWS DIAMONDS
We came across the wondrous Hearts and Arrows Diamonds shortly before selling the E.S. Poyser & Sons, Limited shop. We think that these Diamonds are worth a very special look, encompassing as they do the benefits of truly remarkable internal patterns and thus showing off the exact symmetry in their cutting. This is guaranteed both by an independent certificate and by the availability of a viewer through which the wonderful Hearts and Arrows effect can be seen. Hence the trading names we use - Classic Cupid Diamonds and cupid-diamonds.co.uk.
TERMS
For loose Diamonds we can give indicative prices based on US dollar price lists; the final price will depend on the exchange rate when the payment is made. For Special Commissions a firm price will be quoted at the outset.
